About us
Laurie (Milligan) Vizzini, Owner of LViz Basketball and Trainer
A proud Tigard High School graduate, Laurie went on to play for the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers from 1994–1998 under the legendary Coach Pat Summitt. During her collegiate career, she helped lead the Lady Vols to three National Championships and made history as the first player—man or woman—to appear in four consecutive NCAA Division I Final Four Championship games.
Only one other player, Breanna Stewart of UConn, has since matched Laurie’s feat—playing and winning in all four championship appearances. Laurie still holds the record for the most NCAA Tournament games played (24), a mark only approached by UConn’s Diana Taurasi (23).
Before college, Laurie’s national basketball journey began at age ten on the AAU circuit with the Oregon Courtrunners. By her freshman year, her team captured the AAU 15U National Championship in Amarillo, Texas—an event that caught the attention of the University of Tennessee. That same year, Laurie earned multiple national honors, including Kodak All-American MVP, Street & Smith’s All-American, and USA Today Top 25 All-American.
Since 1998, Laurie has poured her passion into LViz Basketball, training athletes from second grade through college. Her mission: to provide a Division I experience at every level, instilling discipline, confidence, and heart in each player she coaches.
Off the court, Laurie is a full-time Real Estate Broker with Premiere Property Group and TeamMilliganPDX.com, working alongside her mother and mentor, Jenny Milligan, the 2009 PMAR Realtor of the Year. Laurie herself is a 12-time Portland Monthly Five Star Realtor Award winner, recognized for her outstanding client service and expertise.
When she’s not on the court or helping clients, Laurie enjoys volunteering, pickleball, surfing, golf, camping, and discovering the best sushi spots with her daughter, Nixon.
