Laurie (Milligan) Vizzini, Owner of LViz Basketball and Trainer
A Tigard High School Grad, played for the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers Basketball Program from 1994-1998, winning 3 National Championships under coach Pat Summit. Laurie is the first player (man or woman) in the History of College basketball to ever play in 4 consecutive Final Four Championship games. Laurie today, still holds the record of playing in the most NCAA Tournament games (24) with Diana Taurasi of UCONN (23), not a record easily matched. In 1994, Laurie earned the HS Kodak All-American MVP, Street and Smith’s All-American and Top 25 USA Today All-American Awards. Laurie had her National start on the AAU circuit when she was 10 years old, with her first tournament in Syracuse, NY. Although the “Oregon Courtrunners” didn’t place that year, through hard work and dedication, by Laurie’s 9th grade year, they won the AAU 15u National Championship in Amarillo, TX where the Univ. of Tennessee first found Laurie. She, as well as five other teammates received D1 Scholarships to schools as USC, Oregon State, UCONN and Stanford. Through the opportunities that Laurie has been given, she has dedicated herself to training hard-working athletes from 2nd grade - college through LViz Basketball since 1998, providing a D1 experience at every level.
Laurie is a full-time Real Estate Broker with Premiere Property Group and TeamMilliganPDX.com. She works alongside her mother Jenny Milligan who was named the PMAR 2009 Realtor of the Year. Laurie is a Legacy 11x Portland Monthly Magazine FIVE STAR REALTOR AWARD winner for her outstanding service and expertise, voted on by her clients.
Laurie enjoys volunteering, playing pickleball, surfing, golf, camping, mentoring and finding the best sushi places with her 14 year old daughter Nixon.
